old Only you know what you’re really worth
Work on your craft. Put in the time. Take control of your destiny.
Whether you want to make it to the NBA or just make it to the gym, we’re here for you.
Our mission is to give you the confidence you need to believe in your potential. Some people have dreams of making it big, while others just want to play a game of ball with their friends. Whatever your goals, know that we’re cheering your name, every step of the way.
At FVV, we believe in blood, sweat, and tears. We believe in you.
Our core values play a part in everything we do. They keep us focused, determined, and with our eyes on the prize. From our merchandise to our web series, you’ll see these 3 elements in all of our work.
Work it to the bone: Everyone has dreams of success, but can they back it up with the work? We believe that to make it to the top, you have to put everything you have into your craft.
Stay grateful and humble: Above all, we’re thankful for our experiences. Our family, our friends, our fans – these are the people that give us life, back us up, and help us succeed. For that, we thank you.
Bet on yourself: It’s no secret we believe in ourselves, and we want to inspire that same confidence in you. No matter where you’re coming from, or where you’re going, you have a gift. Make it count.
FVV is the brainchild of Toronto Raptors point guard Fred VanVleet
Others may have succumbed to the pressures of draft night, but not Fred. With 150 of his friends and family waiting to hear some good news at his draft party, Fred made a decision that would alter the course of his life.
Instead of getting drafted, Fred bet on himself.
Today, Fred VanVleet is a point guard for the Toronto Raptors. He didn’t get here by chance.
Before his rise to the NBA, Fred had a banner collegiate career at Wichita State with the Shockers, where he was a two-time Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year, three-time Associated Press honorable mention All-American, and three-time MVC first-team player.
With Fred on their side, Wichita State had one of the best stretches in program history: they made four straight appearances in March Madness, and headed to the Final Four when he was a freshman, with an undefeated regular season the next year. When he left school, Fred was WSU’s all-time leader in assists.
During the 2016 draft, Fred made a decision not everyone has the courage to make. He chose to go undrafted. With his skills, training, and track record, he knew he was ready for bigger things.
In his hometown of Rockford, Illinois, Fred rented out a bar and invited his adoring family and friends. He didn’t hear the commissioner call his name. But he did hear his agent say the three words that changed everything: bet on yourself.
And soon after, the Toronto Raptors saw real potential in Fred.
He hasn’t disappointed. After securing the position as a finalist for the NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award for the 2017-2018 season as a key component of a strong Raptors bench unit, Fred has proved his role as a shooter and ball distributor.
Averaging 24.8 minutes per game, Fred scores 16.7 points and 7.6 assists per 36 minutes. As an indispensable leader of the team, it’s clear he’s here to stay.
Fred’s story doesn’t end here. This is just the beginning.
